SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE! BSQH Lil Josey Reed (pending in association) AQHA/NFQHA 92%/FQHR 100% 2008 filly. Eligible for 4 registries! Born 5-17-08. Josey is a very appropriate name for this filly referencing the Legendary Joe Reed and Joe Reed II lineage. You just cannot go wrong with the historical foundation greats such as Wimpy P-1, King-P234, Poco Bueno, Doc Bar, Docs Prescription, Two Eyed Jack, Sir Quincy Dan to name a few in her pedigree. She is as friendly and sweet as can be and she is going to be one heck of an athlete. At 3 days old she was jumping the 18” jumps set up in our arena over and over again for fun. It was an incredible site and I wish I had my video camera.  This girl is absolutely stunning with her jet black coat, mane and tail. She has an excellent disposition and a great brain just like her parents. Her conformation is correct with straight legs, short back, beautiful feminine head, and a good hip. All of our stud’s foals are super easy to handle and are always the pasture pets. This girl is holding up to his reputation because she is quite the pocket pet. She is fearless and oh, so curious, she worries her Momma when she wanders away to investigate. She will be perfect for someone wanting to raise their own horse for a lifetime of friendship and adventures. A beginning horseman will be able to easily train/handle her. At 1 day old I haltered her without any fuss. She let me adjust the halter several times to ensure a proper fit. I can wrap my arms around her and she will actually snuggle. At 5 days of age I groomed her from head to tail and picked up her hooves. She just absolutely LOVES butt scratches and the curry comb, but her favorite spot is on her chest between her shoulders. She will come up to you and present you with the area she wants scratched. If she wants her head scratched she will place her head in your hands. She is just too sweet! She tries to sneak away from Momma to come see me because she knows she'll get an ear rub and butt scratch. If her color, conformation, and personality aren’t enough just take a look at her pedigree. Josey’s pedigree top and bottom is jam packed with AQHA Hall of Fame legends (performance and halter legends). Her Dam was extremely well cared for during pregnancy with UTD vaccinations (including pneumobort)/de worming and proper nutrition, so Josey is the picture of perfect health. She may shed out to blue roan like her brother did last year. He was so impressive we kept him back for a stud prospect. I would not be surprised if she is homozygous black EE, that means she’ll never have a red foal. Herda N/N. She will not have any obnoxious foal behaviors. Sire and Dam on site. Josey should mature to 15.1-16.0 hands. Her sire always outproduces himself in stature. A deposit will hold her until weaning. We will work with arrangements to the perfect home, but please don't insult us. Our foals are high quality, well bred w/correct conformations and great minds. You will be hard pressed to find these bloodlines all in one foal. We ask all of our new owners to stay in touch so we can watch our babies grow up. Call Dan. Thank you for inquiring.
